Kolonya Cologne
Created in collaboration with Penhaligon’s and Jack the Clipper
Background
When Jack the Clipper opened a barbershop within the Penhaligon’s store in Cabot Place, Canary Wharf; the Marketing team at Penhaligon’s decided to create a cologne to mark this new collaboration. They chose to base this new product on the traditional Turkish cologne know as Kolonya; a nod to the Turkish barbering heritage that Jack the Clipper derives from. The barbers would apply the Kolonya cologne to a customer’s face and neck after a shave or hair cut to refresh and sanitise the customer. Kolonya by Penhaligon’s marks the first time this scent sits within a premium level, targeting the luxury market.
